I thought this article was really interesting as it highlight two really important points that are worth remembering:
1/ Gym Instructors/ Personal Trainers are not superhuman people who are just 'lucky' and have fast metabolisms. As human beings we all have to work hard, motivating ourselves to exercise and employing will power to resist eating too much unhealthy food. This article shows how even a fit healthy guy can put 7.5 stone on by living an unhealthy lifestyle.
2/ Habit is a major factor in people’s unhealthy lifestyles. If you have done things a certain way your whole life, then it is really difficult to break. PJ has shown that over just a short period. This exercise also highlights how much the body starts to crave fatty food, despite a thorough knowledge and understanding of the importance of a healthy balanced diet and lifestyle.
But, the good news is that habits can be broken, people just have to find the willpower to get through the initial tough stages.
